Session 2

AUTOMATICITY

The goal of this session is to clarify the relationship between mindfulness and what we are calling “automaticity,” so that you can begin to create a space for your Essential Self to lead. In this module you will:

  • Becoming aware of automatic and routine patterns of thinking and behavior.
  • Create a connection between the automatic nature of your thoughts and emotions so that you can begin to create space to Resource Essence.
  • Learn new ways to deal with automatic cycles of thoughts and emotions to increase resonance between your Essence and your behaviors.

Session 2 Checklist

Here is a list of assignments you will be doing to complete this Module.  Please make sure you go through each step sequentially.

  • Download the workbook
    (you will be prompted to refer back to your workbook for each session to do your exercises and homework).
  • Listen to the training and do the corresponding exercises in the workbook.
  • Complete the meditations.

In this session you will develop a greater understanding of automaticity and get clarity on how much power you have to begin to shift behaviors through mindfulness for a fuller expression of your Essential Self

  • Complete all assignments and exercises in the workbook.
  • Do the BODY SCAN MEDITATION at least once this week
  • Do the Seated Meditation at least once this week
  • Do the Consciousness Exercise #2 at least once this week.
